You can help the Chabad ACT's Humanitarian arm (Goodness and Kindness) continue their vital work by your generous donation. Goodness and Kindness is a non for profit charity that relies on donations to survive and thrive. Every individual and every cent counts. Donations are tax deductable.

Humanitarian - Goodness and Kindness

One of Chabad’s primary objectives is to help those in need. Our crisis support arm provides emergency relief and assistance wherever required. We aim to put people in touch with the relevant community service and advocate for them to ensure they receive the treatment and services they require. We have a non-discriminatory policy and our crisis support operations are open to the entire community within the ACT and the region.

Food and Clothes Donation Programs, Crisis Intervention and Accommodation, Welfare Assistance, Family and Relationship Counselling, Grief Counselling, Financial Counselling, Social Worker Services, Chaplaincy, Pastoral Care, Woman Of Valour Empowerment Group, Free Loan Fund, Social and Multicultural Community Activities, Festival and Life-cycle Events, After School Enrichment Programs, Seniors and Disabled Support Services, Religious Services and Officiating, Health and Social Referral Services, Housing Support, Adult Education, Universal Ethics Advocacy and Community Programs and Events at The Gan Yisroel Community and Childcare Centre.

There are many ways to help Goodness and Kindness and Chabad ACT. Donors may wish to give a specific cash gift or a specific asset or the remaining assets of their estate. Other alternatives include a bequest of a life insurance policy or the establishment of an income generating endowment. Bequests, like other gifts, can be designated for many purposes or given without restriction. It is advisable to consult a solicitor when preparing a will to ensure that your wishes will be settled according to your instructions. Significant donations can earn perpetual naming rights for significant places in our Synagogue or for classroom dedications in Canberra's only Jewish preschool.
